Proserpina (Proserpina)
Proserpina is the daughter of Ceres. Pluto took her to the Underworld to be his queen. Ceres grieved, and the fields would not grow. A bargain lets Proserpina spend part of the year above the earth and part below, and the growing season and the cold season follow her coming and going.
