Year 4A · Grade 6: Calling a Name
Use the calling form for Marcus, a girl, a son, a friend, and a servant.
What to notice
- Marce
- puella
- fili
Explanation
When you call someone, the name sometimes changes. Marcus becomes Marce. Filius, son, becomes fili. Puella, a girl, stays puella. Amica stays amica. Servus becomes serve.
Learn these five calling forms. A chart for every noun family is not the goal of this lesson.
