For Parents and Teachers
Latin Launchpad is designed for short, repeatable practice at home or in class. Students can work independently, while adults retain control over pacing, account choices, and how the resource fits into instruction.
Readable topic pages list the vocabulary, grammar, culture cards, mottoes, and printables without opening a lesson. Browse topics.
At home
Choose the learner's grade, begin with one chapter, and aim for a short practice session several times per week. Use the dashboard to identify words that need another pass.
In class
Use lessons for centers, warm-ups, review, or independent work. Printable activities can supplement instruction without requiring every learner to create an account.
Assignment links and completion codes
Each year, lesson, practice mode, quiz or test setup, Annual Exam Study level or exam, and flashcard session has a link you can copy and send. At the end of an activity, the student gets a completion code with the score and missed Latin words. Check it on the check a code page. The code does not include the student's name, and it is a reading of the device score rather than a locked certificate.
Accounts and progress
Guest mode stores progress only in the current browser and is the simplest choice for casual or shared-device use. An optional email account can sync supported progress through Supabase. Accounts are individual learning profiles; the site does not currently provide a teacher roster or classroom-management dashboard.
Student privacy
Use a first name, nickname, initials, or classroom identifier instead of a full legal name. Learners under 13 must use guest mode on the current public service and may not create or use synced accounts. Review the children's privacy section before student use.
Before classroom adoption
Teachers should check whether Latin Launchpad is approved by their school or district before directing students to create accounts. District reviewers can use the School and Vendor Privacy Summary to assess data elements, service providers, purpose limitations, retention, access, and current product limitations.
Suggested routine
- Preview the chapter vocabulary and listen to pronunciations.
- Complete one lesson practice session.
- Use flashcards or a printable for retrieval practice.
- Finish with a short quiz and revisit missed words.
Scope and expectations
Latin Launchpad is supplemental practice rather than a complete accredited course. Grade groupings provide a practical learning sequence and may not match every school's curriculum or local standards exactly. Adults should adjust pace and difficulty to the learner.
